Honoring Our Military
The City of Yucaipa continually honors its veterans and active military personnel for their sacrifices to this country and unyielding bravery.
Flag Hill Veterans Memorial Park, located at the corner of Yucaipa Boulevard and Fremont Street, lends a panoramic view of the Yucaipa Valley. Located at this park are a large number and variety of trees that have been donated in memory of the donor’s loved ones. The upper section of the park has been dedicated as a memorial to the military men and women from Yucaipa who lost their lives while defending our Country. The City continues to explore opportunities to provide recognition to Yucaipa veterans and active military personnel through the following programs:
Hometown Heroes Military Banner Recognition Program
The City of Yucaipa, in collaboration with the Yucaipa Rotary Club, honors residents and immediate family members who are serving on active duty in the United States Armed Forces through the Hometown Heroes Military Banner Recognition Program. There are currently more than 100 Military Banners proudly being displayed throughout various locations in Yucaipa. Click HERE to View Military Banners
Criteria on how to obtain a banner can be found on the Military Banner Application. Applications are accepted on a year-round basis. Banners are installed at least twice a year and will remain on display for a minimum of two years or until the service person is no longer serving on active duty.
