The Public Arts Committee is charged with the development of a Public Arts Program and implementing policies that establish the objectives, regulations and guidelines for the creation and placement of art in public places, ultimately for Council approval. Public art can play a role in achieving other community goals and objectives; such as enhancement of the City’s public spaces; and expand the opportunities for our residents to experience public art.
Meetings shall be held on an as needed basis until the completion of the project.

The Committee is composed of nine members that are representatives of VisionQuest, Yucaipa Valley Art Association, members of the public at-large. Each committee member’s term shall run consistent with the general municipal elections and shall be for two-years from January 1 to January 1. You may contact the General Services/City Clerk’s Department at 909-797-2489, ext. 221 to be notified of vacancies and appointment procedures. A list of appointive terms with the name of the incumbent appointee, the date of the appointment, the date the term expires, and the necessary qualifications for the position may be accessed by downloading the Local Appointments List.
